The grant is under the purview of VCF Innovation & Productivity Grant (IPG), which is split into 4 grants:

1. IT Adoption
2. Pre-Scoped Consultancy
3. Adopting and Scaling of Innovation and Productivity Improvements
4. Research

Funds are provided to Social Service Agencies (SSAs) in the following pre-approved categories:

1. Community resources; help SSAs increase productivity by tapping onto community resources to improve pipeline of resources and build community self-support capacity and capability
2. Process improvement; help SSAs review current practices, identify better work practices or bottlenecks in work, and re-design processes for improvements or productivity gains
3. Ready technology enabler
4. Space utilisation; help SSAs achieve productivity enhancements through effective utilisation of space that best meets the needs of clients and staff
