“In My Shoes” is a simulation activity that aims to build empathy within people and spread the importance of building an inclusive society. The simulation provide participants with insights on the realities faced by people with different conditions and background.
The simulation activity development was supported by multiple stakeholder, which includes a group of students from National University of Singapore, under the Seeds of Good programme and National Youth Corps.
The characters were developed after rounds of interviews with people from various backgrounds and situations. This allows us to craft out a simulation that portraits similar events faced. Subsequently, Soristic has been improving the simulation by introducing more new characters as well as conducting workshop.
The simulation depicts a simulation of various people’s life experiences. The events are compressed and simplified and may not fully reflect the daily experience of one.
